- Activation Energy
- noun
- This is the quantity of energy necessary to generate a fire in the presence of a combustion agent and fuel. More often than not it is a heat source or even a flame or spark.
- Example: Some 80 reaction tubes from 13 manifold fillings were illuminated in the temperature range from 40 to 85` in a further endeavor to determine the cause of the irreducibility and to obtain information on the activation energy and the effect of light intensity.

- Evacuation Plan
- noun
- An evacuation plan is a plan that must be displayed in any building to facilitate the evacuation of the people present in the building in the case of fire.

- An emergency light is a battery-backed lighting device that switches on automatically when a building experiences a power outage.
